Success 3: Overview of the optimal customer journey for an energy efficient renovation

Although it was challenging to analyse the results of the pilot projects and translate these into a concise and meaningful summary within the framework of the overall REQUEST project, this process did enable the project team to develop a comprehensive picture of the optimal customer journey for an energy efficiency renovation process (see figure below).  This visual representation of the unbroken supply chain clearly illustrates the different support required for all actors’ involved (supply and demand side) at each of the stages in the process. It also provides a good visual overview of the recommended policy and market interventions needed to ensure the delivery of successful low carbon renovations that are ultimately a pre-requisite if a well-functioning energy efficiency renovation market is to be established in each of the countries across the EU.
